01. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
APRIL commits to scope and uphold best practices in EDI, providing flexible work and actively encouraging diversity through use of positive language and transparent decision-making. EDI indicators will be actively monitored and reported (EDI lead: BR) upon at annual reports. A similar commitment applies to RRI (RRI lead: KE), where a relation with ORBIT will be cultivated and training courses will be offered to all HMB members early in Y1 of APRIL.

APRIL strives to ensure our AI for electronics research is not only innovative, but also upholds the highest ethical standards. Our ethos centres on transparency, responsibility, and integrity, fostering a culture where safety and trust are integral from inception to deployment.
04. Environmental Sustainability
APRIL embeds environmental sustainability (ES) based on UoE institutional plans and policies including, but not limited to, physical environment and infrastructure; business travel, and external stakeholder and public engagement. Hence, we will comply with Greening Government commitments (2021- 25) to mitigate climate change in line with national legislative targets.
