Environmental Sustainability

APRIL embeds environmental sustainability (ES) based on UoE institutional plans and policies including, but not limited to, physical environment and infrastructure; business travel, and external stakeholder and public engagement. Hence, we will comply with Greening Government commitments (2021- 25) to mitigate climate change in line with national legislative targets.

At April Hub, we believe that our strength lies in our diversity. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. Diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) are not just buzzwords for us; they are the foundation of our company culture and the driving force behind our success.

Our Commitment to Diversity

Diversity encompasses the unique experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives that each of our employees brings to the table. We celebrate differences in race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, and other attributes that make us unique. By embracing diversity, we unlock a wealth of creativity and innovation that propels us forward.

Promoting Equality

Equality means ensuring that everyone has equal access to opportunities and resources. At April Hub, we are dedicated to providing a level playing field for all employees. We continuously evaluate our policies, practices, and systems to identify and eliminate barriers to equality. Our goal is to create an environment where merit and potential are the only criteria for success.

Fostering Inclusion

Inclusion is about creating a culture where everyone feels welcome and valued. We strive to build a workplace where every voice is heard, and diverse perspectives are not only accepted but sought after. Through our inclusive practices, we ensure that every team member can contribute to their fullest potential and feel a sense of belonging.

Our DEI Initiatives

To turn our commitment into action, we have implemented a range of DEI initiatives, including:

Diversity Training:

Regular workshops and training sessions to educate employees about unconscious bias, cultural competency, and inclusive practices.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs):

Support networks for employees to connect, share experiences, and drive positive change within the company.

Inclusive Hiring Practices:

Strategies to attract, hire, and retain diverse talent, ensuring our workforce reflects the communities we serve.
Mentorship and Sponsorship Programs: Providing guidance and support to underrepresented groups to help them advance in their careers.

Community Engagement:

Partnering with local organizations and participating in community events to promote diversity and inclusion outside the workplace.

Measuring Our Progress

We believe in transparency and accountability. To track our progress, we regularly measure key DEI metrics and solicit feedback from our employees. This data helps us identify areas for improvement and ensure that our DEI efforts are making a meaningful impact.
